  G & B Roofing and General Builders is situated in Uddingston, Glasgow.   We are a family run roofing business and we pride ourselves in our high standard of workmanship, our reliability and honesty and our great customer service.  Joseph, brings to the business 17 years worth of experience in the roofing and general building trade.  So not only can we fix your leaking roof, we can also repair the damage it may have caused inside.

Full Roofs - A full roof replacement can be costly but it will add value to your house and if it is a necessity it will save you money in the long run.  Once you have replaced the roof for new it should last you 15-20 years depending on what material you use.  

Roof Repairs - It is always a good idea to repair any roof damage immediately as it could cost you more if left, a leaking roof can cause damage to the inside of your house and the longer you leave it the worse it will get.

Roof Maintenance -You should maintain your roof at least once a year, cleaning tiles of moss, removing soil and debris from gutters, checking for any cracks or dislodged tiles, especially after storms. Leaks can go unnoticed for some time and by then sometimes the damage has already been done. We offer yearly or 6 monthly maintenance packages where we will maintain your roof for you. Slated Roofs - Slate on your roof is a more traditional material that is used and it can make your house look stunning, it is sadly being replaced by more cost effective materials.  However, if slate roofs are correctly installed there is no reason why they can't last as long as more modern materials. And there is so much more you can do with slate to create stunning effects.

Flat Roofs - Flat roofs have always had a bad reputation for leaking, flat roofs are mainly on garages, porches, canopies, and some extensions, if its flat then the water just sits on top of the roof, where is all the water meant to go?  Flat roofs don't have to be a nightmare, with correct installation and using the correct materials, then they shouldn't cause you any headaches.

Roof Lining (Fascias, Soffits) - Lining your roof protects the top of your building and  can make such a difference to the look of your house, there are different colours, materials and finishes that you can choose from.

Guttering/Downpipes - Badly positioned or the wrong size of guttering can cause issues, leaking guttering can be costly in the long run.  Having water running down the outside of your house can cause significant damage to the exterior wall and also can cause damp within your house,  so it always better to get it done right first time.

Lead Work - is very important, lead work prevents water from penetrating  your house and again badly fitted or damaged lead work can cause damage to the interior of your house. Lead work also has to look good, it has to be finished to a high standard and to look like it is part of your house, not some bit of metal stuck round your chimney or above a window.

Valleys - Got two roofs that run into a valley from an extention that may have been built, these areas can be tricky, but with vast experience in combatting this issue, we have a unique design that will make sure that there will be no issues.

Velux/Dormer Windows - Windows can be added to your roof when creating an extra room in your loft/attic, we have vast experience in fitting/building these types of window.  Or if your existing window needs re-dressing then this can protect your window against the weather and make your house stand out.
